TECHO - partner of CZECHDESIGN.CZ

PRAGUE, 10. 2. 2011 - TECHO is known among its customers as an innovative producer and supplier able to bring life to practically any interior. Here the „envoy“ from Techo is the WOT desk system, which received the red dot design award 2009 in Essen. One of the desks found its way into the library of the association CZECHDESIGN.CZ – a room used by young designers during their studies, and also for meetings with investors and specifiers. The delivery for CZECHDESIGN.CZ also included catalogue holders and coat stands from the ALVA COLLECTION, which are located in the presentation room. We are confident that the installed furniture will represent TECHO well, particularly in this environment devoted to contemporary Czech design!

The association CZECHDESIGN.CZ was established in 2003 and from the very beginning it was the number one meeting point for all Czech and foreign design enthusiasts. The CZECHDESIGN.CZ portal is today one of the most visited design sites in the Czech Republic. When in 2005 CZECHDESIGN.CZ also started exhibition and production activities it was clear that sooner or later it would have to move into its own design-oriented premises.

The long expected event took place in October 2010, when a new gallery was officially opened on Vojtěšska street in Prague. TECHO was one of the important partners of this association and also participated in the furnishing of their new headquarters. The interior of the gallery works on the principle of a showroom for carefully selected producers and designers. As General Manager Veronika Loušová confirms, only companies using state-of-the-art processes, techniques and materials were approached. An important criterion was the ability to bring some of their own vision and ideas to the project.
